Telford College, UK.

Edinburgh's Telford College has replaced its three campuses with a single, custom-built complex in the heart of the North Edinburgh community. The new campus, on Edinburgh’s new Waterfront development, is part of the ongoing redevelopment of North Edinburgh and will bring vibrancy to the area while helping boost the local economy.

Part of the new building includes a student restaurant with a laminated timber roof structure clad with ETFE cushions. The cushions span approximately 3 metres and are supported on steel tubes which cross over the main laminated roof beams and provide lateral restraint. The enclosure formed is light and airy and provides vibrancy to the space.
