The Assima Mall complex is a functional entertainment centre that provides office spaces and long-term hotel residency for tourists in the heart of Kuwait City.

The distinctive geometry of the Assima ETFE roof, covering the 10 storey high central atria, was inspired by the idea of replicating the natural flow of a river from a birds-eye perspective.

The structure of this sinuous steel roof is formed by a series of low rise arched frames on an inclined plane spanning between 18m and 44m over the main atrium.

The ETFE roofing system is an efficient and lightweight solution that also contributes to the sustainability of the building's energy concept; allowing maximum natural light with minimal weight and embodied energy.
