Cutty Sark Conservation Project, UK.
We were commissioned by specialist steel fabricators SH Structures to undertake the structural engineering of the steel work connections and worked closely with Buro Happold and Grimshaw.
We were also involved in the design in the mechanism that had to safely lift the ship to its final position 3 meters up. A temporary frame was used to assist lifting, which had to be designed to be removable after the permanent struts were in place.
