This new residential development is located on the Sandbanks sea front in Dorset. It provides 14 high quality apartments spread over 4 storeys above a basement car park. 

The structure consists of a concrete frame and includes 1600 square metres of basement transfer slab and 2400 square metres of upper residential floors. 

A Cobiax semi-precast concrete structural floor system was used for the transfer structure and residential floors to help reduce foundation loads and increase the speed of construction on site. 

The use of this form of construction enabled the transfer floor to be kept to a minimum thickness reducing the amount of excavation and de-watering on the site. It also has the benefit of maintaining bi-axial bending capability whilst acting as a void former in the flat slab construction.
