Willowfield Humanities College, UK

Willowfield Humanities College is part of the Waltham Forest Building Schools for the Future program. The secondary school will be able to accommodate up to 900 pupils, with a gross internal floor area of approximately 7900 metres squared covered over three floors.

The proposal aims to provide a modern, inspirational and top-quality building that will enhance the student’s educational journey.

DDA has worked closely with Bouygues to overcome the problems of the brownfield Blackhorse Road site, taking into account the restrictions of the adjacent railway.

Ensuring the project is buildable and cost effective whilst maintaining the key design drivers is a central focus of David Dexter Associates’ structural strategy and design process.
